I'd up the butter some. eggs wouldn't really improve the humidity level,
but could change the texture more.

Or it could be that you need to work the flour with the butter more.  You'd
be surprised.  I've been working on my shortbread dough and it seems way
too dry, then I work it some more and it sticks :-)
