>Ah. the first three books of the scanned heraldry emblazons. Yes.

Something that we tend to forget is that the early SCA was founded
by a bunch of teen and 20-somethings who were not here to recreate
the Middle Ages so much as to have fun, get drunk and try to score.
They never expected their little game to grow much beyond the
party. I'm not just talking about the first or second events but more
like probably the first 5 years. After that point I think they began
to get a little nervous.

So they had wonky heraldry. They were kids drunk on Tolkein and
Led Zep.

And it is often still the case. The current King of Ansteorra, Patrick
Michael V, designed his arms to look like a smiley face.

>I've always favored Erin Go-Burn-the-Braugh, or however she spelled it.

Nice. I've always loved Laurien Darksbane as my favorite grandfathered name.
Ansteorra once awarded an AoA to a lady who insisted on being called
Infinity of the Unicorn.

It makes my head hurt.

(Actually, my head hurts because I was changing out ethernet plugs on one of
the company machines and cracked it against the corner of a metal cabinet.
I'm
pretty sure it's a minor concussion.)
