Since you're the dad, it'll be easier to do. (If you were the mom, and
breastfeeding, I'd say, "no way".) The bebe might be sleeping through the
night, and you'll be in a routine by then. Keep the menu simple, and make sure
you have adequate staff x .25 - that is have 25% more people lined up to help
(both on the day of, and for prep) than you really think you'll need. You might
also solicit help with the bebe for the day of the event - to give Mommy the
break that you normally would, but for your kitchen responsibilities. It can
work. The fact that she suggested it is a point in your favor! :-)
