[Sca-cooks] grill was Food of the Damned (OT, Humor)

Hey Bonne, will we see you at GWW?

Actually, Jared and I were very naughty and bought a meter-wide combo BBQ and firepit at the local Barbecues Galore last weekend. It's relatively low to the ground and comes with a domed mesh cover, which will be handy at Prado where the flies just love us all. It does in fact come with a grill, even hinged at one side so you can get in and push the wood or coals around without removing the grill and food and all. Remove the grill, and it serves as a fireplace around which
bards and household may gather, the domed mesh cover now serving as a spark arrester. Unfortunately, it came with two left feet - literally - and we have to bring the whole $%^&* thing back in just to replace the one part. And here, the boys had it nearly assembled. *sigh* It will be nice when it's done though.

Great store. I think we have our salesman interested in the SCA now too.

Shorter legs, beautiful copper bowl, if I am remembering correctly. Don't think it comes with a grill, but resourceful SCA types like yourself probably know someone who could make or modify something to fit. I like the idea of filling the thing with sand and only having coals in the center.
