Well, you appear to have identified the source, so that's something.
I don't think I've ever seen it on cable TV, myself.

It's pretty much what (was it Niccolo?) said, whey-ah I kick you
right squay-ah in the nootz, and then you kick _me_ right squay-ah in
the nootz, and the first person to become incapacitated loses...
obviously the advantage is with the person who starts, and one might
question its value where women are concerned, but in the original
context it made sense, more or less.
