Anahita asked about Chinese sources, mentioning Soup for the Qan.
Do you have the little Chinese cookbook that was published in PPC a
few years back? It is:
Teresa Wang and E.N. Anderson, Ni Tsan and His 'Cloud Forest Hall
Collection of Rules for Drinking and Eating', Petits Propos
Culinaires #60, 1998. See also Some remarks about the translation of
Yun Lintang Yinshi Zhidu Ji published in PPC 60 by Francoise Sabban,
which has corrections and alternative translations.
Johnna mentioned _Food in China : a cultural and historical inquiry_
by Simoons. I've seen that one and it is very good, although I don't
remember much in the way of recipes--Cariadoc thinks we own it, but I
can't find it. We do own _Food in Chinese Culture_ by K. C. Chang;
I'm not sure how useful that would be. If you would like to come
consult our library at some point you would of course be welcome.
