[Sca-cooks] Hot Peppers

OK, folks, let's slow down. De gustibus non disptutandem- there's no arguing
tastes. Hot means different things to different people- I included galingale
in my list of stuff because Margali mentioned it when we were discussing the
post- personally I don't find it hot, but I know some people get that hot
feeling from stuff I consider dead cool.

And, let's not get into a dumb argument about who can eat the most whatever
peppers- if all you're after is the fire, go for it. Personally, I prefer a
certain richness of flavor beyond mere heat, but you can ask Olaf, or even
Andrea- I don't do bland, except as a setting for more highly spiced flavor
jewels. I also normally cook with very little salt or sugar, but I vary what
I do to more standardized tastes, unless I'm cooking for someone who can
deal with my preferences.

But, guys, take a chill pill- arguing about who can eat the hottest whatever
is pointless, unless you have a good supply of flameproof toilet paper, and
you want to test a couple of brands ;-)

And Olaf, after you try the goulash I'm making to my preferences tomorrow
evening, why don't you report on it, see if I accomplished heat AND richness
of flavor ;-)

If it walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, it is probably not a
cat.

Never a horse that cain't be rode,
And never a rider who cain't be throwed....
