I actually did a virus scan, just to be [reasonably] sure. But that,
added to the fact that I'm running OS X behind a firewall _and_ don't
use a Microsoft mail client, makes me fairly certain I don't gots no
cooties. A fortuitous combination of a well-designed OS with a
relative degree of obscurity tends to have it fly under the radar of
most virus creators. It's not worth their trouble to create such a
mahvelous worm just to mess up a few lowly Mac users. (Although Mac
users who use Microsoft products could still pick up bad macros.)

However, I did receive an "undeliverable" notice from AOL, regarding
something I supposedly sent to somebody I never heard of, and this
message claimed I was using Outlook Express, which mail client
doesn't exist for my OS (Entourage does, but I'm not using that,
either).

So yes, I imagine a message, purporting to be from me, but in fact
from Mr. Klez or one of his relatives, and sent from the mailbox of
some Windows user of my acquaintance, is the culprit. I friggin' hate
Windows...
