Might be possible--I like kids. Send me a phone number and address. 
I get into Montreal a little past noon on Friday and the conference 
doesn't start till dinner time.

I haven't looked  for that specific a target. The Cleveland Museum of 
Art has some nice Byzantine stuff. I'm almost sure the Met does, as 
does the Walters in Baltimore. There are published books based on the 
Met's collection and the Walters collection; I'm sure they would show 
some Byzantine pieces, although not necessarily that century.

Of course, the ROM also has a good collection of early jewellery.

If you ever get out here (San Jose, CA), you are welcome to go 
through my slide collection and book collection looking. I don't have 
any books specifically on Byzantine jewellery, but a fair number that 
would include some pieces.
