yo all, having read the 2 novels in the series already, a pointer..
the WHOLE town was parisiene scooped out and popped back into history.
vehicles, school, library, houses, GROCERY STORE and all. they did
mention in the first book planting gardens, and most houses in a fairly
tiny town like mine [caledonia, ny is about the size of the town in
question] have various plantings of edible and decorative plants..and at
least 50% of the people i knew growing up had at least tomato plants and
some even had pepper plants...grin
not to mention random clamp to the counter meat grinders/sausage
stuffers, assorted kitchen tools like potato ricers and garnishing
tools, cookbooks....grin
stop and THINK about what is in the basement/attic/back room of the
average home or small town independent grcerry/hardware store, or even
available in the school caffeteria...

also used to lurk in vaious groups on Baen's Bar
