[Sca-cooks] My Christmas dinner & LOOT

Dinner was a quiet roast beef and potatoes. I also supplied some ham slices
for my tender-hearted boy who had seen too many news reports with staggering
cattle, and didn't want to look at a piece of cow on his plate. (He had no
prob with spaghetti and meat sauce the next day) As far as loot, I asked the
family to forgo it for me this year as I am funding 12th night out of pocket
and being reimbursed later, plus all the non-reimbursed things like holly
garland for the tables and other decorations that I will keep and use for
future events (got some cool stuff at half-off after xmas sales). They know
that this is what makes me happy. I did pick up Ann Hagan's books on
Anglo-Saxon food just last month while christmas shopping, so I'm going to
count them.
