One chooses one's recipes carefully and chooses when
and what to introduce carefully. Don't force anything on
anyone. Also one can always be the source for passing out
good authentic recipes and suggesting the right sources, as
opposed to off the back of the box or from the deli counter.
If you want alternatives, then suggest alternatives. Let them
use your kitchen to make the foods in. Students often are willing
but lack the kitchens and equipment, so they fall back on
the easy to make standbys. And understand that not all events
call for for authentic food. If you are sitting around in
jeans and sweatshirts watching videos, there's nothing wrong
with pasta or chili for the evening. Keep it varied and fun.
