Nope, I didn't turn into MY mother. She didn't talk about anything. Let the school movie show me about menstruation. No sex ed at that time, so. . . I went to the library and checked out a book called "How to teach your Children About Sex" by Dr. Eric Froam (sp?). Figured it out on my own. BTW, this book was mentioned the other night by Sue Johanson of "Talk Sex." She recommended it to a parent. Darned book must be around 35 years old or more. Not a word about alcohol, drugs, dating or morality. Didn't even teach me about budgeting or how to save money. She was a great cook, though, and I learned how to cook from her starting as soon as I could see over the kitchen table. Was told if I ever got in trouble, not to phone home. No wonder I'm so twisted.

philosophy. Ok, my kids are 8 and 3, but they have *tasted* alcohol...find
it YUCKY. Being typical British parents, my brother and I were raised from
about age 6 drinking a glass of champagne at special occasions, then a glass
of wine w/ dinner as was desired (at home). Of course, damn near every
restaurant in Tulsa has served me alcohol since I was 15 years old. NEVER
checked ID. Would have been a GREAT undercover cop in my teen years. Smokes,
alcohol....I guess I just looked older than my years.
