It's actually good for a few more things:
Sucking mild burns right out.
Adding a tad to water to cook hard boiled eggs
Adding a tad to water to cook cauliflower
De-liming "stuff" by boiling it with vinegar...  :-)

But it's really not to be used as direct food.
