[Sca-cooks] Re: pre-paid feast reservations

Ah, yes, there was a 12th Night feast where Someone (possibly the King) 
accepted a LOT more reservations than the cooks were aware of.  On the day, the 
cooks made up a lot of gravy with broth, and I had subcontracted to do peri-oid 
plumb pudding for a dessert.  So I weighed in with twenty quarts of steamed 
pudding - let me tell you, that is a LOT of candied fruit to chop- and people ate 
a great deal more of it than they might have otherwise (it being a very rich, 
heavy dessert).  Without that, a lot of people might not have been 
satisfied...
