I have a review of this in press for Serve It Forth.
I sent it in 1 May 2002. I wrote then:

This is an oddball book, but one that may have wide appeal
to members of the Society. Jacqui Wood is a woman on a mission
to recreate the life of prehistoric Britain. ....
Prehistoric Cooking is so unusual that one almost suspects
a tie-in between this volume and the publication of
 Jean Auel's latest tome.
To achieve her goals Wood has spent the past quarter
century creating a Middle Bronze Age village on her home
property near Truro in Cornwall. Prehistoric Cooking
is based upon her personal attempts to document and
describe the ingredients and probable food preparation
methods that were available to the Pre-Roman era Briton.
....
Despite its problems and many readers may well decide that
the publisher is to blame for the final presentation of
the book and most of the errors, Prehistoric Cooking has
considerable value and much to offer the careful reader
who wants to experiment with this suggested "cuisine" of
early Britain. It is after all late spring and the summer
season is upon us and with it the promise of good weather
and camping events where some of these recipes could be
 tried and sampled outdoors.
 "Clay-baked duck with blackberries" anyone?
