You might start with

These are of course precautionary recipes. Cutting and pasting these
texts between screens and databases makes one silly at times.
There are as I said recipes that are titled "For Plague" which are what
recipes for cures to plague like diseases. Recipe titles are funny. I'd
suggest a browse through the four volumes of Alessio if you feel the need.
