I liked King Adrian's pun tax back around A.S. 14 or so.  If anyone made 
a pun in the king's presence, DUKE GREGORY had to pay a quarter, since 
Greg was the one who instituted the more conventional pun tax in the 
first place.  It was my first stint on a royal court and I think I ran 
him up about 40 bucks.  He had to pass a hat at by the end of the reign. 
 <bwahahaha!>
