you might enjoy my ginger brandy then.   take any inexpensive brandy, lotsa
slivered fresh gingerroot, honey (how sweet do you want it?), a mininmal
amount to taste of black peppercorns, cinnamon, cloves and alspice, mix it
together, and it only really needs to sit for a week, strain it and bottle
it.
