Of course people want to do something nice for the Crown, but, um, that
cook did not have to make or do anything special for him at the last minute.
He has never insisted on that and does not expect it. He purposely
carries his own foods so people don't have to do stuff like that. Actually,
they both do. Since he had so many health problems and allergies as a child
he just has a limited diet. No, I don't agree with it as it seems like
mostly a teens junk food diet, but it's all his.
I made sure every time we saw him that he got a supply of Ho-Ho's. At the
"light lunch" we put on a Crusades last year we had him all but fall out
laughing at the soltie I dreamed up and was made by Lord Bruce the Robert.
We called it the Mother of All Ho-Ho's. It was a giant chocolate roll with
the white stuff rolled in and the whole thing covered in chocolate to
resemble a huge Ho-ho and we stuck Kisses on the side with a dab of peanut
butter and had real Ho-ho's "suckling".
Our current Crowns are very fun to "get" with solties and illusion foods.
Olwen, working on proto-types of something my Baroness dreamed up...
