Ooooh! Aaaaaah!

What did you make the bowl holding the artichokes out of?

Howdy,

I've finally managed to get pictures up of some of the things I made
for the Royalty Lunch at the Grand Tournament of the Unicorn last
weekend.

Some (but not all) can be found on this page:

This one is the table, just before His Majesty jumped in and started
eating:

A dish of Artichokes, served in an artichoke-shaped standing crust:

Sugarpaste eggs filled with candied almonds and hazelnuts, resting in a
bowl filled with the leftover nuts:

Aside from cooking for the Royals, I also apprenticed at this event.
As an apprenticing gift to my Laurel I made the fish below (she has
fish like it in her arms). There's no good reference in the photo to
tell how big it is, but it was over a foot long and was filled with a
pound and a half of chicken.

On the whole, the thing was a success - food was eaten, people said
"ooh!" and "ahh!", the mistress was happy.
