James and Lily were very young- I'm not sure they were old enough for James 
to have gotten through the extra auror training. And they were also in 
hiding for some time.

No, I'm pretty sure that their money was family money that was James' 
inheritance.

I want to know if the fact that James and Lily lived in Godric's Hollow is 
significant.
