Eeeeuuuuuww! (maire makes "hairball" noises that can be heard all the
way from NW Artemisia)
Lainie gave me the recipe. As far as I'm concerned, they are the Fruit
from the Tree of Life, which is why God made Adam and Eve leave, because
He wanted them all to Himself <weg>.
I don't think you could get them orange, unless you did them as
Blondies, and used a lot of orange food coloring, which would defeat the
whole chocolatey-goodness point of them! ;o)
On the other hand, I have some very orange-ish yarn simmering on the
stove at the moment (well, that's sort of cooking-related). It's part
of a dyeing experiment. I wanted to test our local "very hard" water
against something without all the dissolved limestone in it, since pH
affects madder colors.
Yeah, Stefan, it'd probably make a neat article for the Flori-thingy.
I'll get you a copy of the doco when it's done, but it'll be this fall,
as this is a summer-long experiment.
--maire, about to go investigate if having a Hornsby's and a brownie for
dinner is diet-legal ;o)
