Actually, when you're from the South, anyone from north of the Mason 
Dixon Line is a Yankee.  In fact, I was ten years old before I realized 
that "damn Yankee" was two words!  ;-)      We eat apple pie, but I'd 
always eaten it either plain or "a la mode", i.e., with ice cream.
