Medically, an allergy is a reaction to a non-toxic substance (allergen) that
triggers a realease of histamines. Sensitivity is a more general term
describing a reaction to a substance or condition, which in the specific is
usually prefaced by an adjective describing type (allergic, non-allergic,
psychotic, neurotic, etc.).
