Congratulations to Edouard (Doc) Halidai, for he was recognized as a 
companion
of the order of the Evergreen this past weekend at Candlemas. Also on 
that day,
Edouard put on a sumptuous sideboard for the laurel vigil of his lady wife

Just a little news to report from Candlemas.
    I was working in the kitchen so can't necessarily tell you how it was
recieved by the feasters (if someone wants to write a report please do
so). However in my opinion, the Head Cook and organizer of this years
Candlemas feast did a great job.  What I did taste of the feast (and
what I have in my fridge right now) was excellent.  Especially the
stuffed eggs with bacon (yum).  The feast went off on time, exactly as
planned.  Which was just as well because the head cook Rachaol McKrieth
was placed on vigil at the end of feast and elevated at court
immediately after.
As a good friend of hers I was very very happy to be there and couldn't
be happier for her.  It was so wonderful to watch her burst into tears
when she realized what we were up to.  Her long years of service helping
with candlemas feasts has finally paid off.
