I realised that I may have given a false impression when I wrote:
   "I'm doubting that it's "period for the SCA",. . ." and in the interest
of not insulting someone inadvertently, I wish to expand the statement.

   "I'm doubting that I'm lucky enough that something that sounds so
delicious might be from a totally period recipe, because that's not how my
luck runs, but I don't care, I want to make some, so...."

   That it turns out that my luck was running contrary-wise is wonderful. No
offence to the cook whose menu started this discussion was meant - just a
poor choice of wording on my part.
