Yes, I have heard that.  And I agree that trepaning was 
done in the past.  

OTOH, since the village of Trepanning claims to be, 

   "The world's first twelve dimensional rural settlement." 

I can safely say that any 'place' that recons more than 3
dimensions is far out of our 'normal' time stream.
