Vegetarian Vegan Natural Food Restaurant. 98% organic. Many macrobiotic 
options.
Menu: Has a good selection of items. Beverages, appetizers, soups, salads, 
entrées, side dishes and desserts. Sea Caesar Salad, Mashed Potatoes (with 
pesto or vegetarian gravy), Seven Grain Croquettes (with butternut squash) 
and Dasahi & Noodles in traditional Japanese broth. Roasted and steamed 
vegetables. Tofu sandwiches, barbecued tempeh and Soba Noodles with sesame 
sauce. Brown Rice and Pickled Carrots wrapped in seaweed. Shitake-kombu 
Dashi with soba noodles. Three-bean Chili Soup (kidney, black bean and 
lentils) is good. Rice, steamed vegetables, simple salad, sea vegetables or 
beans for $3. Has a salad special for $10. Dragon Bowls are made up of 
grains, beans, assorted vegetables, seaweed, greens, and salad. Half Dragon 
Bowl is a good meal. Fresh cooked cornbread with carrot butter or tahini 
sauce is very popular. Homemade sauerkraut. Mu Tea (macrobiotic tea) at end 
of meal. Maple whip on desserts. Good coolers (a variety of cold teas). Good 
freshly made desserts such as peanut butter cookies, apple kanten (no 
wheat), muffins, and Mixed Fruit Crisp with maple tofu whip (no wheat). 
Fresh juices and smoothies.
Comments: Highly recommended. Considered to be one of the best vegetarian 
restaurants in the country. Very popular, so may have to wait for a table 
for dinner (maybe a long time on Saturday nights). Laid-back, friendly, 
pleasant, casual, cozy atmosphere. Cool people. Good place for meeting 
people. Sociable, informal, hip place. Has community table. Has about 70 
seats. Recycled napkins. No salt and pepper on the table, but a bottle of 
soy sauce. Good, friendly service. Community oriented. Cozy and warm décor. 
A good percentage of produce is harvested less than 48 hours before use. No 
refined sugars, no preservatives, no animal products including dairy and 
eggs. Reasonable, moderate prices. Healthy cooking style. No cell phones 
allowed in restaurant. Established in early 1970s. Guarantees that 95% of 
produce is organic.
Other Info: Full service, take-out, delivery. Does not take credit cards or 
reservations. Non-smoking. Price: $$. A main meal is around $12 to $15. The 
Daily Special is $12 and $15 with two basic extras.
