Well, what about a dried sausage or a summer sausage?

Pretzels are period. Or perhaps the similar, jumbels:
pretzels-msg     (29K) 11/13/04   Period pretzels and pretzel-like 
breads.

pretzels.

Or biscotti since it is meant to keep well:

What about some savory rather than sweet wafers? I've not had very good 
luck with them, but perhaps others have.

There is this file in the CELEBRATIONS AND EVENTS section, although I 
don't remember anything in there specifically on sampling various 
mustards.
