Doesn't get to the right temps. I suspect your best option, from what you're
describng, is to put it over a hefty bed of coals. You need to get it Really
Hot- 500 Fahr (just remembered you're in Germany- that's about 260 C) for a
fairly long time- letting it sit over a dying bed of coals would do the job.
