[Sca-cooks] California Wine Question (OP)

There are quite a few wineries in the San Diego area, but none seem to grow Tokay grapes that
I can find. Fifty years is a long time and a lot of small wineries are lucky to survive 10 years.

>From my searching, it seems that Tokay still seems to be made in the opposite end of California,
in the Lodi area, near Sacramento. I keep finding mentions of several wineries who still seem
to be making Tokay, but in trying to find more information about these wineries, I keep running
into road blocks. The wineries seem to be Acampo Winery in Acampo, CA, East-Side Winery in
Lodi and Gibson Wine Co., in Elk Grove. Unfortunately, these places are too far from me for me
to do more that a casual web search [10 hour drive]. San Diego is many hours closer to me [1.5
hour drive] and would have been possible for me to check them out. But all I seem to find them
making now are the current popular wines.

I wish I could have been more help.
