(Note that obituaries were published 2+ months after her death and in the
area where she lived before moving to Texas.  I have been unable to find a
San Antonio obituary for her.  People with more knowledge of the major San
Antonio newspapers may want to try.  Given events under which she moved to
Texas, someone may have put the obituary in the paper under a different
surname, so you may want to search under all four names listed and be alert
to some other surname.)

DIANA LEIGH SKAGGS

At the request of her family, there will be no service for Diana Leigh
McLaren Skaggs, 49, of San Antonio. Burial will be at a later date.
Arrangements are by Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

She was born Jan. 9, 1956, to Richard and Lavina McLaren and died Jan. 12,
2005, in San Antonio.

She attended Alton schools. She received an associate's degree in music from
Phillips University and later attended Oklahoma State University in
Stillwater, where she received a bachelor's degree in accounting.

She married Leonard Skaggs Jan. 25, 1981, in Stillwater.

She was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church.

Surviving are her parents; a son, Sean Skaggs; and two sisters, Sue Shores
and Linda Shelton.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to American Diabetes
Association.

Diana Leigh McLaren Skaggs, 49, died Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2005, in San
Antonio, Texas.

There were no services. Arrangements were under the direction of
Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

She was born Jan. 9, 1956, to Richard and Lavina McLaren. She married
Leonard Skaggs Jan. 25, 1981, in Stillwater.

She attended the Alton school system where she was active in summer chorus
and symphony orchestra. She was a member of the Main Street United Methodist
Church, where she sang in the choir and encounter.

She attended Phillips University in Enid and earned an associate's degree in
music. She also attended Oklahoma State University in Stillwater where she
received a bachelor's degree in accounting.

She loved playing the violin, guitar and singing.

She is survived by her son, Sean Skaggs; her parents, two sisters, Sue
Shores and Linda Shelton and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association with the
Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
