Hi all. I had the best fun the other day. Someone in the Barony posted a
link to a restaurant auction happening that day so I went. I was an IRS
"parishable" auction held on site so stuff went really cheap.

I bought:
Misc. round tables (folding, about 4 or 5 six foot across and a few four
footers) = $5.00
Multi-level tray cart w/ contents (about a dozen larger cutting boards, lots
of trays, bunch of misc.) = $12.50
Excellent brand commercial freezer chest (the basic square smallish top
loader ice cream type, no top) = $2.00
Superior brand 27" sandwich prep unit (that also came in a lot adorned with
a six bin steam table!) = $10.00

I spent a total of $27.50 and got not only all this stuff, but when Chirhart
and I went to pick up the stuff I could not haul off, I brought a friend who
managed to fill my van and his truck with all number of wonderous stuff
folks left behind, lots more tray, pans, knives, white boards, baskets,
hooks, heck, every time I looked about she was scurringing off with more
loot! I managed to grab a few tidbits myself. At the end of pick up time
we were there only with another group of folks who made off with stuff too.
It would have been a shame to just let the "remainder/forgotten" be tossed
in the trash.

Dhrihart is looking forward to using the six bin steam table to make
cheeses! YUM.

Anyway, if your interested, the IRS website to find out about possible local
tax auctions near you, visit ustreas.gov/auctions/irs if they are listed
as "perishable" auctions, that means they don't haul the stuff away to a
nice location and drive up the prices. Many restaurant auctions are
"perishable".
