I would add to HG's excellent suggestion that until you have done a bit of camp cooking - enough to feel comfortable with timings, and fire management and stuff - that you consider doing some pre-cooking. Keep it easy on yourself, because when the challenges happen, you don't want them to take control of the entire meal.
