[Sca-cooks] Is Sourdough Halal

Have a friend at work asking me to make bread.
I wanted to make some sourdough breads for him.
He is Muslim, and with the no alcohol, does the alcohol of well developed
sourdough cause a problem?

It is easy enough to make starters that have not soured nor produce "hooch"

I am learning this new "thing" and ask hoping there are more knowledgeable
heads than I who could answer this for me!
