One should not need a large event to have a hall steward.
Long ago in my local group there was a position of hall steward. The purpose
of the feast steward is of coarse to plan and cook the feast. The Hall
steward was responsible in seeing what can be done to decorate the hall for
ambience, get things set up and decorate the day of. Then take down and
clean up at the end. This had insured spread of work and getting people
involved in the planning.
