Heartworms are transmitted in the egg stage into bloodstream at bite site.
E.G. Mosquito bites infected dog and ingests the eggs, then bites
subsequent victim, depositing same eggs in the process.

Trichinella guys are transmitted by eating the cysts formed by the worms in
the flesh of various porcine carriers. Cyst and harbored parasite die at
around 138F or so? Ungulates (deer, cows, bison, etc)are mostly unaffected
as they eat vegetation, which isn't the preferred habitat of the parasites.
Ungulates have their own problems and disease transmittal.
