[Sca-cooks] From Renata

Mistress Renata is still recovering from wrist surgery and so I act as her fingers tonight.

1. Renata's one-handed pepper-mill has managed to fly our of her good hand and into a sink of soapy dishwater. Is there something she needs to do to it before using it for pepper again, salt or dry bread? I just said wash and dry it thoroughly. Your thoughts?

2. Regarding the Rose thread: Renata wished to bring attention to the rose article she wrote for the Florilegium, "Divers Pretty Things of Roses and Sugar" www.florilegium.org/files/ FOOD-SWEETS/Roses-a-Sugar-art.html

3. Regarding the Meat thread: Renata uses that cut for quick Carnitas, aka Modern Cormarye. Cover with 1 inch of water and seasonings of choice, simmer until water is about gone, they crisp up in their own rendered fat. Real recipes available at FrontieraGrill.com [she thinks]

That's it!

Yours in service, Selene, the Fingers of Highwynds.
