Sabra asked:
>Is "whipped cream" period?
Yeah, well, sorta. I've read some responses. I'm not sure what the
difference is between ''beaten cream'' and ''whipped cream''.
>Is "alfredo sauce" period?
No way, ho-zay. And until rather recently there was no Alfredo sauce.
Don't get Adamantius started!
In the beginning, some time around, the chef made the noodles, and
yea, they were fettuccine and they were many and tooth tender. And
the chef took the abundance of noodles and tossed them with butter,
and cream, and Parmesan cheese, and crushed garlic, and chopped
parsley.
And the multitudes, who had failed to experience true Fettuccine
Alfredo, and perceived them to be some how a difficult and
complicated dish, began to clamour for a what they thought was easier
way to make them. And, yea, the food corporations did comply and
produced ''alfredo sauce'', which may or may not include the
ingredients the Creator used, but which generally also include all
sorts of non-food ingredients, but which are considered food safe by
the government.
So, toss ye your noodles and toss thee thy noodles, with the genuine
ingredients.
But only do this in a 20th or 21st century setting.
