You can hunt "wild" boar in Florida, domestic hogs gone feral.  They are a 
pest and are hunted with dogs. Give such a couple of generations in the wild 
and they are quite wild... nasty and vicious indeed.  Picture mini rhinos 
with tusks rooting up the landscape.  We have mini dragons down here too, 
Nile Monitor Lizards.  They get six foot long and will take your cat, small 
dog or even bite your hand off if you corner one.
