We were able to buy a bag of whole almonds at wholesale
food coop prices one year.
The problem was storing the rest of the 25 pounds in the freezer
until they could get used. But it was as cheap to buy 25 pounds at
that price than to buy the 8 pounds I needed in the grocery stores.
