For those who have an old copy of the cookbook collection I used to 
sell, volume I contains a translation of one of the manuscripts of 
this, from an Icelandic medical miscellany--it's the source of the 
recipe I call "Icelandic Chicken."

Volume II contains a few recipes from a 12th century Mappae Clavicula.

Of course, neither is English.
