Tomatoes are New World, but ketchup doesn't necessarily imply tomatoes
- early ketchups were based on mushrooms and walnuts as the mean
ingredients, among others I can't recall at this time. I'm not sure
which conversation you're referring to though, the link goes to a
Danish holiday site.
