I have been hearing in past years from folks that there has been some clinical studies on honey and diabeties. What i can remember is that it may not be so bad after all as a sweetener for diabetics. Something about it having two types of simple sugar that process at different speeds. One study is to have said that honey is better then table sugar (well duh) but that honey was better then artificial sweeteners. If it is true then a fruit and nut stuffed baked apple would be good with honey on the side to drizzle on top of the apple.
