*Insert generic Australian Greeting here*

Hi,

I'm Tamsyn and I'm from Adelaide, South Australia. I haven't even gotten around
to joining my local SCA yet (I don't thing they're really active until Uni goes
back for the year anyway).

My persona will probably be from the south of Germany, late 14th / early 15th.
They have the hammered dulcimer (I'm a piano player and think I could get into
it if I can source one to have a look at first to see). Then there's the food.
I have seen the floregium (sp?) but it was Gwen Cat who recommended I come on
here (I'd sent her off an email thanking her for one of the translation sites
I'd found.

I've learnt more this afternoon trawling through this mailing list than any of
my googling attempts. Great list.

Thanks!

Tamsyn

Oh - and beer (I brew). You have no idea how chuffed I was when I discovered
that during the period in question hops were widely used in Germany (I'd seen
so much about them not being period), but they still weren't the only
flavouring agent, and that ales were probably more common that lagers.
