That's one of the reasons I have this file in the FOOD section of the Florilegium. I am, of course, open to other suggested recipes for this file as well.

Perhaps also of interest to those who suddenly realize there is an SCA event or get-together this evening, but you've been too busy with daily life to have fixed anything. Although there are some "reasonably close to period" foods which can also be picked up at your local grocery, which don't require any cooking, as well.
