[Sca-cooks] Turkey day

Since this year it will only be the two of us humans, Duke William and myself, and all the cats, I will keep it simple. An 8-10 lb. free range turkey (I would prefer a heritage, but they are very expensive), bread stuffing with stuff (I'm not sure what yet, but sometimes I do sausage, sometimes chestnuts, sometime oysters), and roast veggies, which will solve the problem of brussel sprouts and potatoes and carrots and onions and parsnips -- all in one place. Sort of a one roasting pan meal, mostly. Plus some sort of dessert, probably a pie. It was a terrible year for my garden, but I did get apples, so probably another apple pie. And cranberry sauce, of course. Oh, and gravy. Simple, traditional, and good. We have already seen bunches of family and friends this month, and I guess Yule will be the crowded dinner. So a little quiet and cozy is going to be nice. Viscountess Sir Maythen, Hoghton Towers, Mists, West

P.S., I think I posted this to the wrong address.  So this is a second posting.  Sorry.
