suggests cutting fruit up and simmering it to extract juice.


That's how I'd do it, but with the proviso that you will probably get cloudy
juice (it works that way with grapes anyway). You have to do cold pressing
if you want clear juice. However, if you don't have a juicer or similar you
will get more juice by cooking the fruit.
