Huh? I thought the idea of the torch was to brown the outside of sous vide foods. What difference does the pharmaceutical grade water bath do? Does it brown the food?

What have you used your sous vide cooker for? Are there any particular foods that you think it works particularly well with? 

I've yet to build a sous vide cooker, although I've considered it. As much to build up my Arduino electronics skills as for the actual product, but it would be nice if it were actually useful after I built it. :-)
